The Wall in the Middle of the Book by Jon Agee

The Wall in the Middle of The Book is a deceptively simple take on the well-worn themes of conquering your fears, opening your mind and reconsidering your biased views on ogres. It's minimal but visually inventive, with plenty of space for the storyteller to point things out or ask questions. It is also very funny, reminding me of Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen's best collaborations, such as Sam and Dave Dig a Hole.

I don't usually like the term 'instant classic', but I actually feel justified in this case. This is an instant classic.

The Wall in the Middle of the Book is published in the UK by the new Scallywag Press, who we look forward to seeing more from soon!
