Usborne Adventure Gamebook Event: Lightning Rider

At this interactive book event, children have the opportunity to club together to read, vote on decisions, solve picture puzzles and roll dice to defeat bad guys!

Mark has led this event for previous books in the Usborne Adventure Gamebook series. These events are always so much fun and a great way to get children immersed in these books.

This time we'll be playing through Lightning Rider, written by Sarah Crofton and W.J. Tattersdill and illustrated by Tom Knight. YOU are a messenger who flies from peak to peak delivering the post on your giant bird, but evil is stirring in the Glimmerstone Mountains. Soon you will set off on a desperate race against time and face a terrifying enemy...

Even if we don't finish our crucial journey within this hour-long session, every ticket includes a copy of the book and a pair of dice to take home!

About this event:

Mark hosts regular creative events here at The Alligator's Mouth and also runs Quickdraw Comics Club, an arts education business which encourages young people to be creative, build confidence and have fun designing their own comics. Mark's Comics Clubs are hugely popular here at the shop and have been successful in local schools. Check out the Quickdraw website for other events and holiday workshops led by Mark.

This event is for ages 8-12. Accompanying adults do not require a separate ticket. Children aged 8 who are attending this event must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Each ticket costs £10, including a copy of Lightning Rider with a pair of dice (to collect on the day of the event).
