About the event

Join us on Saturday 13th June to celebrate Independent Bookshop Week! We will be joined by the fantastic Tor Freeman, author/illustrator of the Boss of the Underworld graphic novels and more. Tor will be joining us as a bookseller for a day and we're so excited.

If you enjoyed Tor's Boss of the Underworld books, you'll be able to get some new recommendations. It's the perfect opportunity to find some other stories and graphic novels that Tor recommends for fans of her books.

Come along for recommendations from Tor and the rest of our team... and see what books you end up leaving with! There's no better time to stock your bookshelves than Independent Bookshop Week. We will also have plenty of Tor's books available for you to buy on the day and Tor will be delighted to sign them for you.

Independent Bookshop Week is a celebration of independent bookshops across the UK and Ireland. It aims to highlight the vital role independent bookshops play in their communities, and to encourage consumers to shop for their summer reads with their local independent. The campaign launched in 2006 and we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the campaign this year. This celebration is hugely important to indie booksellers like us, as it highlights the role of our bookshops in the community and the value we bring by helping customers find their next favourite read.

Come along to meet Tor and get some book recommendations on Saturday 13th June (from 10am-1pm) to support the 20th year of Indie Bookshop Week. RSVP welcome but not necessary, just pop in any time from 10am-1pm!
