Here Be Dragons Summer Workshop with Mark of Quickdraw Comics Club

Comic drawing and clay egg crafting, ideal 7-11yrs

In association with The Alligator's Mouth children's bookshop in Richmond, each ticket purchase includes a £5 Alligator's Mouth voucher to be used in the shop or online.

Dragons are the fiercest creatures of our imaginations, and often the most fun too! At this special summer workshop, we'll deliver tutorials on drawing some of the many types of dragons from around the world, craft decorated clay dragon eggs and then invite children to write comic strip stories inspired by the dragons they imagine hatching from their eggs.

Children will only need to bring a snack and water bottle. If they like, they're welcome to bring a comforting toy or special stationery marked with their name. They will take home the work they've created.

Mark hosts a regular Comics Club at The Alligator's Mouth and runs Quickdraw Comics Club, an arts education business which encourages young people to be creative, build confidence and have fun designing their own comics. Mark's Comics Clubs are hugely popular in the shop and local schools.

The workshop will take place in Amethyst classroom, with air conditioning and easy access to toilets and outdoor space.
