We have some very exciting news! After many years of running his hugely popular Comics Club at The Alligator's Mouth, Mark will be running weekly sessions for the Spring Term of 2026. This will be an 8-week course taking place on Fridays after school, and your ticket will cover the entire course.
Comics fans unite for an after-school club of comics drawing! Each week, we'll take on a different challenge creating comic strips, DIY booklets or craft projects. These creative sessions are ideal for ages 7-12.
The course will take place on the following dates:
Session 1: Friday 16th January 2026 (4:50-5:40pm)
Session 2: Friday 23rd January 2026 (4:50-5:40pm)
Session 3: Friday 30th January 2026 (4:50-5:40pm)
Session 4: Friday 6th February 2026 (4:50-5:40pm)

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no sessions the week prior to Half Term (Friday 13th February) or during Half Term (Friday 20th February).
Comics Club is led by artist and bookseller Mark Pembrey, with over ten years of experience leading creative events for children. Mark also runs Quickdraw Comics Club, an arts education business which encourages young people to be creative, build confidence and have fun designing their own comics. Mark's Comics Clubs are hugely popular here at the shop and have also been successful in local schools. This course will be all about creativity and community, and having fun drawing our own comics!
The price of the full 8-week course is £100 per child, which includes a £20 Alligator's Mouth voucher to spend instore. This ticket will cover the classes on all of the above dates.
