Axel Scheffler 'Welcome' Event and Signing

Axel Scheffler is the bestselling illustrator of beloved classics including The Gruffalo, Pip and Posy, Kind and many more. A good friend and supporter of the shop, Axel often visits us to sign and dedicate books for his many fans.

We are delighted to be welcoming the brilliant Axel back to the shop for a drawing demonstration and reading of his latest book 'Welcome'.

Written by Alison Green, Welcome is a joyful picture book about friendship and togetherness, produced in support of Three Peas Charity.

Axel's fabulous, funny animals are the perfect ambassadors to show us all about friendship and togetherness: how to laugh together, play together and, most importantly, how to make friends again after a quarrel! A donation from every copy of Welcome sold goes to Three Peas, a charity which supports refugees who have had to flee their homes.

The ticket price for this event entitles you to a hardback copy of Welcome and one seat for the drawing demonstration. The event takes place in the lower part of the shop where space is very limited, but one adult may accompany children under 3 if necessary, otherwise you will be asked to wait in the upper section and priority will be assured for your family to the signing event which follows.

Please note, we will have Axel's previous titles for sale on the day or via pre order here, but he will not have time to sign books brought in from home. Please don't hesitate to contact us with queries or particular requests.
