Children's Creative Writing Course: Summer Holiday with Mariah Mannae

We can't wait to welcome Mariah Mannae back to the shop for another fantastic creative writing course! This will be a 3-day summer holiday workshop for ages 7-12. Each day consists of an hour-long workshop. There are two timeslots to choose from, subject to availability. Your ticket will cover the entire course, all materials provided.

The course will take place on the following dates:

Session 1: Tuesday 18th August

Session 2: Wednesday 19th August

Session 3: Thursday 20th August

Join us for this three-day creative writing workshop exploring voice, genre and story structure with Mariah Mannae. Through literary games, creative prompts and imaginative writing challenges, young writers will experiment with different ways of telling stories, explore new worlds, and develop their own original pieces in a supportive and fun environment.

This course offers a great opportunity for young writers to develop creativity, writing skills, and make friends amongst the group. The sessions allow participants to build their own stories throughout the course, guided by Mariah, with the opportunity to share ideas and progress with their peers.

About Mariah Mannae:

Mariah is an accomplished writer, educator and youth mentor, with over 10 years of experience in arts and education. She was one of only 16 selected for the prestigious Curtis Brown Creative Novel Program. She received the Dennis Diderot Grant for her screenplay and completed a residency in the renowned Château d'Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency in France. Mariah is passionate about empowering the next generation of creatives and helping young artists find their voices.

The price of the full 3-day course is £45 per child. This ticket will cover the classes on all of the above dates.
