Adult Creative Writing: Taster Session with Mariah Mannae

We are very excited to announce our first adult creative writing session with Mariah Mannae, here at The Alligator's Mouth!

Mariah has been running sold-out creative writing courses and holiday sessions for young writers here at the shop over the past year. These writing sessions have been hugely popular and we are so excited to be introducing a new session for adults. This will be a taster session and you will later have the opportunity to register interest for regular creative writing sessions with Mariah if you wish.

This creative writing workshop for adults will explore authenticity, voice, perfectionism and creative freedom. Through guided prompts, reflective exercises and artistic discussion, we’ll explore what it means to write honestly and authentically, without pressure or needing to “get it right.”

Topics include:

• perfectionism & the inner critic

• creative boundaries & authentic voice in writing

This session welcomes everyone and no prior experience is required. This is a gentle, welcoming space for anyone wanting to reconnect with creativity in a more human way.

About Mariah:

Mariah's sessions are designed to promote creativity, confidence, literary technique and imaginative thinking.

Mariah is an accomplished writer, educator and youth mentor, with over 10 years of experience in arts and education. She was one of only 16 selected for the prestigious Curtis Brown Creative Novel Program. She received the Dennis Diderot Grant for her screenplay and completed a residency in the renowned Château d'Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency in France. Mariah is passionate about empowering the next generation of creatives and helping young artists find their voices.
